Encore Fellowships are a
Encore Fellowships are a brand new program created under the Serve America Act, and it will be a while before its details are worked out. The Corporation for National and Community Service is in charge of implementing it. The application process is not expected to begin before 2010.
There will be a maximum of 10 Encore Fellowships per state, with funding of $11,000 per individual that will be matched (or exceeded) by the nonprofit where the person works. They will be available to Americans age 55 or older. The legislation includes provisions for training and leadership development
