Through a new grant from AmeriCorps, The Center of Workforce Innovations in Valparaiso, IN, is seeking individuals to serve as advisors for its Encore Career Advisor initiative. Encore Career Advisors will be recently retired professionals, semi-professionals or individuals from the skilled trades. They will be trained in career advising, mentoring, internship development and job shadowing.
This seven-county initiative will provide Northwest Indiana high school students with career information and will assist them with their decision-making process.
