John is Senior Vice President, Group Account Director, at ad agency McCann-Erickson Detroit, where he manages the Delphi account.  John held management responsibilities on the agency’s GMC and Buick accounts prior to his current assignment.

Social Service positions for the most part in South Dakota. Never used my Masters in Family Counseling in a professional capacity--it taught me how to "fix" people. Only after much personal experience in ACOA and Inner Child groups did I learn what empowerment meant and how to allow it to form in others. From this background I was led to a sense of spirituality, which led to an appreciation of death/dying, which led to caring for a stroke survivor for 9 yrs. My practical nature then tried to sell pre-need funerals.

I recruit members of the community, usually high profile people, to go into state prisons to mentor one-on-one, an incarcerated person, who either has a college degree or is currently enrolled in a college program while in prison.

The mentors tppcially go in as a group of three or four others, usually once a month, and are matched with a prisoner who has been screened.

I plan to start a clinic to provide counseling, nursing home referrals, life coaching, physical and mental health education, and job training to people over 55 who have limited resources but an abundant need for help and support. First, I need to find financial assistance to complete my master's degree in mental health counseling.

Many small, rural communities have lost their schools because of consolidation. Not only did this turn out to be educationally counter-productive, but it also weakened the communities. Most states have now enacted charter school legislation, frequently used to re-establish schools in small communities. These schools often receive little support from their districts because of the inherently adversarial nature of the chartering process, typically receiving smaller per pupil allocations than traditional schools.

For over twenty years Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Through the years of caregiving and deaths, she came to know professionals in the field as well as many family caregivers. It was the caregivers themselves who inspired and encouraged Carol to write Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories.

In early 1999, when Peg and Frank Brady sat at their kitchen table to discuss how they would spend their retirement years, neither of them could have imagined the impact they would have on global health. A desire to help catastrophically ill children in underserved countries was the foundation for Medical Missions for Children and its Global Telemedicine and Teaching Network.

Directed a Community Action Agency in Lincoln Ne for 15 years and then retired.  Shortly after that i started up a new non-profit agency The Center for People in Need.   We work with agencies acrioss the state to supply basic needs for families.  We also have a strong advocacy program that provides information and requests people send action alerts to policy makers.  There are 20,000 people who recieve this information through the email.

Prior to my poverty work i was the Lancaster County Elecion Commissioner.
