Renowned journalist Ellen Goodman is the keynote speaker, who will set the stage for a day of exploration into Encore Careers. Hear firsthand from those who will share their experience and advice about navigating into an encore job. This is your day to learn more about how people are creating their next act during these changing times.
The closing panel features Professor Barry Bluestone, founding director of the Kitty and Michael Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University, who will present his research on the projected labor shortage and how people in encore careers can help to solve it; Judy Goggin, vice president of Civic Ventures, who will present the national framework for the Encore Careers movement; and Doug Dickson, president of Discovering What's Next, who will describe the launch of DWN's Transition to Encore Careers Program.
