Aspiranet Encore Fellows are highly experienced professionals with diverse career backgrounds.
Are you interested in taking on a role that serves the greater good, but don’t know where to begin? If you're in California, consider applying to the Aspiranet Encore Fellowships Program. The program provides an on-ramp for seasoned professionals who want to contribute to the nonprofit sector.
Aspiranet is the first nonprofit in the nation to establish an internal Encore Fellowships program in association with Encore.org. The fellowships provide a unique opportunity to take meaningful action, using skills and knowledge you already have, while learning firsthand about the nonprofit sector and exploring potential work options.
Former Fellows report that the program has helped them pursue meaningful work and service opportunities post-fellowship, and communities have benefited directly from the professionals' continued engagement in the social sector.
One of California’s largest social service agencies, Aspiranet has 35 family support programs in 44 rural, urban and suburban locations – in foster care, adoption, child and family services, youth development, education and behavioral health. Marc Freedman, founder and CEO of Encore.org, calls Aspiranet “a leader in deploying encore talent to social-purpose work" and "an innovative force in the encore movement.”
