I took a stab at drafting a description for this group:
We’re exploring ways to harness the encore opportunity to urgent environmental issues, including but not limited to climate change. How might an army of experienced environmental actors (experts, managers, trainers, entrepreneurs, engineers, tradespeople, teachers, advocates, activists and others) help take proven approaches to scale?
Changes? Additions? Other comments?

Aftermath of the Summit
I was inspired by the Summit but especially the Green Encores group. I decided it was time to ramp up the action in the following ways:
* Ordered video/teleconferencing to cut down on the miles driven by the people who work for EngAGE. (We are spread over a wide geographical area in Southern California) This was possible because of the current TechSoup offer. I am sure you know TechSoup but for those that don't, it is a boon for donated technology.
* Passed on Eric Utne's resources to one of my regional directors who is designing a pilot program that incorporates an Earth Council composed of low-income seniors and a local High School environmental club. If it works we will try it in other places (we have a presence in 12 cities at 17 active aging apartment communities - so there is potential)
* Threw my hat into the ring and applied for a Sustainability Task Force which is being formed.I feel this will position me as a conduit for the knowledge contained in this working group.
Looking forward to learning more...and hearing what each of you is doing.
It seems that the time has arrived when many people are receptive to changing lifestyle and thinking. I am more optimistic than I have been for years.
Cheers Maureen
Did you want to say
Did you want to say "address" in between "to" and "urgent"??
For example: "We’re exploring ways to harness the encore opportunity to ADDRESS urgent environmental issues, including but not limited to climate change.
