I grew up in NYC and have seem to have done every thing a bit backwards. Coming of age in the Betty Friedan era of the 1950's, I had 3 kids by age 30 and then started working at age 35 with my first book about jobs for women liberal arts graduates - have since written four other books and done a lot of writing for the UN traveling on the job. Got divorced in 1990 and in 2004 moved to Washington, DC where I live and work now.

carol williams

Retail business owner ; Clinical social worker I was married for many years and spent a number of years as a stay-at-home mom. In 1985, I opened a religious bookstore in the small rural town where I lived at the time and eventually grew the business to a medium-size mall store. I operated that business for 15 years and it was the apex of my life. In 2000, the mall was sold and torn down and my marriage ended. I was too burned out emotionally to transplant the business elsewhere and finally closed the store. Since that time, I've worked as a Library Clerk while pursuing higher education.

Nancy Topping

Unable to input past these few words.... ; operational manager My dream is in its formative stages. I'm open to a career where I can dedicate the same passion, intelligence, energy and commitment that I did to a corporation for so many years - but this time to an enterprise where my skills will contribute to humanity, to God's creatures, and/or to the environment. It's been a thought that has tugged on me for the past few years that while my job made it possible for me to support myself and my family, sometime soon I want to turn my talents to something personally gratifying.
