Jane Pauley
Jane Pauley interviewed Purpose Prize Fellow Lawrence McRae on NBC’s Today show and moderated an online chat about encore careers on August 17 for her AARP series, Your Life Calling.

McRae, a prostate cancer survivor and former grocery employee, founded an Alabama nonprofit to raise cancer awareness among minority men. In the United States, black men have the highest mortality rate for prostate cancer of any racial or ethnic group.
The online chat took place later that day, when Pauley discussed encore careers and how they redefine the second half of life with Civic Ventures founder and CEO Marc Freedman and Marci Alboher, a workplace expert and vice president at Civic Ventures.
