John Fugazzie
John Fugazzie won $5,000 to help people find work through support groups. Charlene Turner Johnson won $5,000 to start turning abandoned houses into homes for homeless veterans and families. Deborah Greymoon won $5,000 to save women's lives through safer childbirth in the developing world.
Will you be the next winner of the Marigold Ideas for Good Contest? Since April, Participant Media, with help from Encore.org, has been asking people like you for ideas that will change lives for the better.
By the end of the contest, 30 people will have won $5,000 each to jumpstart their projects. Of those winners, five will have received grand prizes: the money, plus trips worth up to $5,000 from Road Scholar.
The contest was inspired by this summer’s hit movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, starring Judi Dench. The film follows a group of British retirees who venture to India – finding new life instead of old age. If you missed the movie, check out the DVD.
And don’t miss the last chance to enter the Marigold Ideas for Good Contest. The deadline is September 28.
