Want to find an encore career in 2010 but don’t know how to get started? Here are 10 tips to help you find paid, purposeful work.

4. Explore the “Find” section of Encore.org, which includes Encore Career Advice articles and Encore Career Resources to help you explore your options, prepare for the job you want and find your encore career.

6. Tap the power of the Encore.org community by connecting with others through the site’s online communities. Or create your own group to discuss a topic of mutual interest or find others in your geographic area.

8. Brush up your skills or learn new ones by going back to school. These community colleges offer programs related to encore careers.
