Encore: Work that matters in the second half of life.

Family Service Agency of San Mateo, CA. TRIP Program; provide mobility assistance to seniors 65 and older who meet some basic requirements regarding health or income. We currently have over 100 seniors enrolled in the program and provide rides to them at no cost. We can’t do this possible without the participation of Volunteer Drivers, which are reimbursed $0.52 per mile while transporting seniors to different destinations.

Seniors deserve to age with Grace and Dignity; mobility keeps seniors independent longer and allows them to continue making a positive contribution to our society. We would also like to remind you, particularly those of you who are Senior Services providers in San Mateo County, that since the TRIP Program is a program for our seniors; it is also, therefore, your program.

We, the TRIP Program staff encourage you, to use this very wonderful tool to assist those most frail and needy members of our senior community.
