What Encore.org offers

Encore.org is published by Civic Ventures, a nonprofit that is leading a campaign to create more opportunities for encore careers that combine continued income with fulfilling work that improves communities.

There are numerous initiatives that are beginning to create pathways for encore careers. See our “Fellowships” page for an update on some of them. The “Pathways From Then to Now” article” on that page provides a helpful summary.

While Encore.org isn’t a job placement service, we do offer links to job listing feeds on our Encore Career Finder page. You’ll discover helpful information about finding an encore career in the Encore Career Advice section and a vast array of resources in the Resources section.

Comment on an article on our Blog and News page and join in conversations with other Encore.org members in our Communities. Or start your own online group based on a topic you’re interested in or to bring together like-minded individuals in your geographic area.

Not a religious group

May 6, 2009 - 1:40pm

To clarify, the sponsor is The Transition Network, which is not a religious group. The location is the Federation of Welfare Agencies building.

If not Theocratic Religion , then why so much resembelence?

December 12, 2009 - 3:21pm

If you are not a religious organization, why are you using “Dog whistle” connections to Theocratic groups? It is thoroughly documented that part of their “7 mountains” program is the stealth takeover of each part of Society that they have divided into seven aspects. Purpose-driven whatever is indeed one of their dog whistles.

The recent dust up in Uganda (a purpose driven nation)over the plan to kill people for being gay and long jail terms for those who speak up in their defense or fail to report anyone they suspect, is just one aspect of this world theocratic program.

Charging big fees to people desperately trying to solve their lack of financial capability in the hope that you will provide magic help is also a very telltale sign.
