Website Editing Standards

The following is a quick reference guide that will help you to understand the basic formatting for our new website and how it works. If you have any questions, please contact Aanchal Dhar ([email protected]) or Hilary Andersen ([email protected]).

Adding new posts (i.e. Featured, Viewpoints, EFN)

 • Word count for headlines: Aim for 10-12 characters
 • All headlines should be in initial caps (i.e. “Millennials: Allergic to Politics?”)
 • Include the post publication date at the end of post (example: Published: May 25, 2018

Adding new media hits

 • Logos should be sized at 225 x 175
 • All headlines should be in initial caps (i.e. “Millennials: Allergic to Politics?”)
 • To share the media outlet and date for media published to bio pages (i.e. Marc, Marci’s), copy/paste this code in the “Excerpt” box and update the blue text below with the link, media outlet and date: NEW YORK TIMES | February 27, 2018

Media Library

 • When uploading images, always include the image size at the end of the file name (i.e. name the Next Avenue media logo as “Next Avenue 225 x 175”)

Photo sizes

 • Media logos: 225 x 175
 • Thumbnail images for posts: 320 x 200
