In discussion with leaders of the civil rights, women's and environmental movements, we will examine what the movement for encore careers can learn from those movements and how people in encore careers can help advance their critical unfinished business. James Joseph, Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Studies at Duke University and founder of the United States – Southern Africa Center for Leadership and Public Values at Duke and the University of Cape Town, and former US ambassador to South Africa, will discuss what emerging leaders in encore careers can learn from leadership approaches pioneered by Nelson Mandela. |
