On November 17th I was privileged to be with Kathy and Amy Eldon in NYC for a Creative Visions Foundation event where I met Christiane Amanpour. To be a journalism teacher and to meet the ultimate journalist at CNN is one of the greatest treats of my life. It was covered by the Galveston Daily News and other newspapers in the Houston area.

Baby boomers are fueling an increase in Peace Corps applications as economic uncertainty looms, President-elect Obama’s administration takes shape and a generation of retirees turns to overseas service in their encore careers, The Dallas Morning News reports.
