Marc Freedman, founder and CEO of Civic Ventures, will be the keynote speaker at “Re:Generation at 50+: Lives Re-Defined, Communities Re-Imagined,” on Thursday, October 30, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Worcester, Mass.

Sponsored by the Colleges of Worcester Consortium Gerontology Studies Program, the conference is designed to raise awareness of issues facing communities as residents age and to facilitate a regional response “so we are prepared for the coming Age Wave.”

Jewish Family & Vocational Services will hold a luncheon and exhibition for baby boomers. Exhibitors will provide information about jobs, fitness and nutrition, social security, financial planning, leisure activities, caregiver resources, legal issues, insurance, volunteer opportunities, AARP, caring for parents, travel, second homes and new housing opportunities.

Marc Freedman will speak during the luncheon.

Marc Freedman will be a speaker of the Fall 2008 Kirkpatrick Lecture Series at Ball State University. Scheduled for September 25th, Marc will discuss encore careers and the emergence of a new stage of life between adult midlife and old age.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Parking is available in the lot behind the Alumni Center off of Bethel Avenue.
