Our organization, the SGSM Network, works with churches in the St. Louis metropolitan area to develop services and opportunities for older adults.  Our mission is to maximize the talents of older adults while increasing their quality of life.  By increasing quality of life, we support older adults to live a physically and spiritually active life and to provide supportive services that keep older adults safely at home and engaged in their community. 

We have used volunteers for the past 6 years to provide direct services to frail old adults (such as rides to the doctor and home adaptation services), but have found that we are in need of more professional and experienced volunteers.  While all of our volunteers are critical in the operation of our ministries, we need volunteers with specific skills – in event planning, in operations management, administration and in board development.  We need people with plenty of real world experience and patience, as nonprofit work is not always as fast paced as the business world.  If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please contact us!
