My Encore Story

I spent 35 years of my life as a musician, steel guitarist, recordist, performer. In 1990 I decided to go into music retail and workded for a small music store owner for 5 years when the business was lost to a fire next door. I then signed on with a large music retailer in the southwest and spent 10 years working for this company and had to watch the original family owner bankrupt his own company when he lost financial control after an ill-advised expansion to other parts of the country. In the process, he put over 1,000 people out of work many of whom had spent careers working for this 105 year old company. I have spent the last two years trying to regain presence in the music business. It hasn’t been easy but I am determined to return to what I love doing and also would like to help young people understand what "the common good" means and how protecting the principle is what makes America special. I am looking forward to the future, my own and America’s.
