My Encore Story
After two decades of caring for seven elders, I wrote Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories, a book about my experiences and those of 20 other caregivers I interviewed. I’ve since developed a Web site – www.mindingourelders.com, and blog – www.mindingoureldersblogs.com , and have become a public speaker and columnist – all on the subject of elder care.
My Bio
For over twenty years Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Through the years of caregiving and deaths, she came to know professionals in the field as well as many family caregivers. It was the caregivers themselves who inspired and encouraged Carol to write Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories.
Carol speaks on elder care and writes “Minding Our Elders,” a weekly newspaper column. Carol blogs for Health Central’s caregiving site, www.ouralzheimers.com and is regularly interviewed on national radio. Her own Web site www.mindingourelders.com, and complimentary blog at www.mindingoureldersblogs.com, have helpful articles, links and agencies, a national chat and much more. Carol answers caregivers emails personally and offers a free monthly ezine to those who sign up.
